The functions of sensors are often compared to the five major human sensory organs:
Photosensitive sensors - vision
Acoustic sensors - hearing
Gas sensors - smell
Chemical sensors - taste
Pressure-sensitive, temperature-sensitive, fluid-sensitive sensors - touch
Classification of sensitive elements:
Physical, based on physical effects such as force, heat, light, electricity, magnetism and sound.
Chemical, based on the principles of chemical reactions.
Biological, based on molecular recognition functions such as enzymes, antibodies, and hormones.
Usually, according to their basic sensing functions, they can be divided into ten categories: thermal sensors, photosensitive elements, gas sensors, force sensors, magnetic sensors, humidity sensors, acoustic sensors, radiation-sensitive elements, color sensors and taste sensors (some people have divided sensitive elements into 46 categories).
